Syria on Fire: An Urgent Call for Help
Over 10,000 Hectares Scorched. 1,200 Displaced. Help HIHFAD Save Lives Now
On 30 June 2025, catastrophic wildfires erupted in Syria’s Latakia Governorate, consuming over 10,000 hectares of forests, olive groves, and farmland. Drought and powerful winds turned rural villages into danger zones overnight, displacing 1,200 people and impacting over 5,000 lives.
As families fled with nothing, HIHFAD rushed to respond, delivering 2,000 ready-to-eat meals, 150 mattresses, and emergency relief. But the need is far greater.
With limited equipment, Syria’s Civil Defense teams – the White Helmets- are battling flames without proper support. HIHFAD is standing with them, but we cannot do it without your help.

Emergency in Latakia: Over 10,000 Hectares Lost
Syria’s rural heartland is burning. The fire has destroyed homes, livestock, and livelihoods in Jabal Al Turkman, Qastal Maaf, and Ras Al Ain. HIHFAD is distributing food, water, and shelter essentials. But many are still waiting for help.
