Hygiene

Accessing clean water and sanitation

Catastrophic damage in Syria has had a massive effect on sanitation. Water stations and sewage systems have been destroyed or left abandoned. Piles of rubbish are left to rot in the streets. Your support can help us rebuild a healthy infrastructure.

Improving health

Dirty water has led to widespread illness and water-borne disease. This is especially so in rural camps, where large numbers of internally displaced people have settled with limited access to hygiene supplies and clean water. Your support improves the health of such communities by providing access to clean water.

Building sanitation

Your support also enables us to continue improving hygiene and sanitation conditions. Our rehabilitation projects include restoring sewage systems in cities, introducing water filtration, rehabilitating water networks, bolstering water wells and constructing prefabricated washrooms and toilets with disabled access in camps and communities.
