How you can help

Making donations of cash and goods

Donating cash

Donate through HIHFAD and 100% of your gift goes towards supporting people inside Syria. We will always make sure your donations go where they’re most needed.

Selecting Gift Aid

If you’re a UK taxpayer, please select the Gift Aid option. No matter how big or small the amount, this will increase the value of your donation by 25%. It is at no extra cost to you, and will always add an instant 25% to your donation.

Making the best decisions

Our highly experienced finance team work hard to ensure funds and donations are spent in an honourable and safe manner across Syria, Turkey and the UK. Our team work with all our departments across the foundation, supporting them in making the right financial decisions whilst protecting the value and integrity of HIHFAD, whilst meeting all global financial standards.

Donating goods

*COVID-19 Rules*

The Turkish government has announced that medicines, used clothing, and *ANY* other used items (including shoes, household items, toys, etc.) are strictly not allowed into the country for now and the near future due to COVID-19 regulations.

Therefore, unfortunately, we can no longer accept these items at our warehouse until further notice.

Thank you for your understanding.

You can donate warm clothes, medical aid or non-perishable food items (tinned food, powdered milk, etc.) through HIHFAD. Much of our work on the ground is made possible thanks to your generous donations, and every single item is always put to good use.

Donations can be sent to our warehouse in Birmingham. From here, we regularly transport containers to Syria where all donations are distributed to internally displaced people, or to children and families in our hospitals and special houses.

Your donations are likely to stay packaged until they arrive in Syria. So if you want to send your letters, notes or cheques, please send these separately to: Hand in Hand for Aid and Development,15 Auckland Road, Sparkbrook, Birmingham B11 1RH.
